Christopher Gintner

I am an Austrian / Brazilian architect and urban planner with a considerable international experience in the Middle East, Europe, South America and the US. With a creative approach, technical know-how and great communication skills in different languages, I’ve developed both independent projects and plans for outstanding architects and construction companies in Austria, Brazil and Chile. Lately I've been working as Design Manager for Nasa Multiplex, one of Dubai's leading contractors.

After a college education in the US, I started my architecture studies at the Technical University of Vienna and graduated at Rio de Janeiro’s State University with an awarded thesis. While studying I worked for some outstanding practices and institutions in Brazil, such as Defournier & Associates, winner of various architecture prizes, Seicor and the Institute of Brazilian Architects (IAB).

In Santiago de Chile, parallel to my post-graduate studies, I started working for a small construction company, where I was responsible for the design, site inspections, estimates, permits and client support. Beside my job as an architect, I also used to write art related articles and do translations for Suite Magazine, a renowned Brazilian culture guide.

Most recently I've been involved with The Opus Project, by Zaha Hadid, one of Dubai's most renowned office towers on Business Bay, so as with Palm Canal Towers, a mix use project at the Dubai Water Front, comprising of three residential and two office towers, low rise apartments, shopping mall and hotel.

As Design Manager, I was responsible for design deliverables, authority compliances, consultant coordination and management of the design team.
